Salary (Actual Salary): £19,285 - £19,591 (FTE £25,583-£25,989)
Working Pattern: 32.5 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday, Term Time only + 5 days

This varied role spans classroom support, intervention management (including for SEND and EAL students), and helping to develop individualized student support plans.

Outwood Academy Bydales is an 11-16 school located in the beautiful coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the North York Moors National Park and with spectacular views of the coastline. About the Role:
The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher.
You will work in close collaboration with our Teaching body to deliver the current curriculum to students and ensure all students are engaging with their education, in this role you will be expected to support with the management of behaviour within the classroom, as well as work in a variety of whole class exercises, as well as on a one to one basis and in small focus groups.

You will be integral to the teaching cycle, implementing planned learning activities, supporting the teacher in monitoring and recording student progress, and providing constructive feedback to students. You will support students with special educational needs (SEND) or English as an additional language (EAL), assisting in the development of individual plans like One Page Profiles and EHCPs.
Duties include supporting student social and emotional well-being, assisting with eating, dressing, and hygiene where required, and providing cover and assistance in intervention settings like the Bridge and PLC. You will also assist in escorting and supervising students on educational visits and invigilate formal examinations.
