Marie Curie Companions provide friendly, practical support to people in the comfort of their own homes for up to three hours each week. As a Companion volunteer, you’ll be there to offer a listening ear, lend a helping hand with everyday tasks, or accompany someone on a trip to the shops.
You might also support people to enjoy the things that matter most to them – whether that’s cooking together, playing card games, gardening, or simply spending time talking about how they’re feeling. Every visit is shaped around the individual’s needs, interests and preferences.
