If so, we are looking for a B1 Recoveries Assistant Team Manager to join the Recoveries Team in the Benefit Expenditure and Debt Finance Branch. This temporary opportunity is for a period of up to 12 months. This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop the Recoveries team and service, building individual and team capabilities to ensure an accurate and quality service.
You will demonstrate flexibility, be comfortable in a changing environment, and enjoy working collaboratively to identify opportunities for improvements, exploring new ideas and solutions. and solutions. This role offers the chance to develop a broad range of skills in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
Line management responsibility for a team of Recoveries Officers, including managing performance, quality assurance checking and supporting staff with their personal development to enable them to reach their full potential, including skills development and training.
Effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Use of a Debt Management System, and other financial systems to establish the various payment methods received, carrying out full quality, error and other monetary checks.
Oversee mailboxes for debt or recovery queries.
Liaise with Solicitors progressing court action and making decisions with current guidelines on whether court action is necessary and appropriate.
Review and provide guidance on complex debt cases where expertise is required.
Review debt cases prior to referral for court action to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of referrals. Reviewing debt case decisions on complex cases.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across a variety of different functions to contribute to effective recovery of over payments.

Hybrid Working
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week, and we offer a range of flexible working options, depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum 2 days per week in your assigned location.
